Recognizing Basic Note Values
Color by code is an excellent way to familiarise students with music notation. Students check what symbol or note type is present in each section and then color in that section with the corresponding color.
This simple coloring sheet uses four different note duration types. It is suitable for young students who are beginning to learn music notation. It is recommended that you discuss the names of each of the notes before hand and conduct some rhythmic exercises to strengthen the learning experience.
